Lois Lynch

Lois Margaret Lynch, age 91 of Belle Plaine, passed away on January 9, 2022 at All Saints Assisted Living in Shakopee.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.  Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church.  Interment will be in Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine.  Memorials are preferred.

Lois was born in New Ulm on November 27, 1930 to Peter and Barbara (Willinger) Domeier.  She grew up in New Ulm and graduated from Holy Trinity (now Cathedral) Catholic High School.  On January 31, 1951 she married Francis “Terry” Lynch.  They lived in Belle Plaine where Lois and Terry raised their seven children.  Lois held many jobs while raising her kids. She liked working at Don’s Bakery. Don was a great employer and the job allowed her to be home when the kids got home from school. The job she was most proud of was working for the Lutheran Home in the Hope Residence as a Med Tech. She worked with disabled people ensuring they were safe and well cared for. Upon her retirement at the age of 65 she continued to volunteer at Hope Residence for many years. Lois also had many hobbies. She loved dressing up and decorating for the Holidays. She loved to travel, do crafts, play cards and often went to play Bingo with her daughter Deborah. Lois loved the Vikings. She was also a delegate for the Democratic Party and would campaign for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Barbara (Willinger) Domeier, parents-in-law Frank and Marie Lynch, Sisters Dolores Schafer and Sylvia Hopkins, husband Terry and daughter Deborah Robertson.

Lois is survived by her children, Mary Beth (Doug) Weldon of Golden Valley MN, Son-in-Law Doug Robertson of Springfield MN, Tim (Carol) Lynch of Eagan MN, Bonnie (Tim) Murphy of Belle Plaine MN, Frank Lynch of Chaska MN, Peter (Christine Soucek) Lynch of Burnsville and Cheryl Lynch of Eagan MN. 10 Grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Thoennes, Tony (Jessica) Weldon, Alissa (Dave) Thompson, Chris Lynch, Michael Murphy, Katie (Peter) Houghtaling, Chad (Stacey) Robertson, Erica (John) Plaetz, Justin (Melissa) Robertson, Austin Lynch and 11 Great Grandchildren.
