Loretta Tiegs

Loretta Tiegs, age 84 of Henderson, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral Service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, May 31 at St. Paul's U.C.C. in Henderson. Rev. Deb Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Friday at the church in Henderson and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday morning. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery. Loretta was born in rural Green Isle on March 5, 1930 to Herman and Mildred (Vick) Trick. She grew up in rural Green Isle and attended country schools. She married Roger Tiegs on August 21, 1948 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Green Isle. They lived in St. Paul for a few years before moving to Henderson. She worked various jobs in Henderson including driving school bus, Red Owl, the drug store, and Coast to Coast. She also worked at ADC and Fingerhut. Loretta was a member of the American Legion Aux., Tourist Club, Henderson Boosters and the St. Paul's UCC Ladies Guild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Louella Beck and Verna Bleck. Loretta is survived by her children, LaMona (Tom) Phillips of Henderson, Lois (Ron) Schroeder of Henderson, Randy Tiegs of Henderson, Grandchildren, Brandon (Sue) Phillips of Henderson, Paula Phillips of Henderson, Lynn Schroeder of Henderson and, Amy (Casey) Veenhof of Madison, SD, 6 Great Grandchildren, Connor Meyer, Shane, Henry & Frank Veenhof, Jaden Halterman and Lexi Schroeder, Sister, Helen Telthoester of Henderson, Many Nieces and Nephews.
