Lorraine M Deike

Lorraine M. Deike, age 90 of Belle Plaine died on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Hope Residence in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be held 2:30p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Lutheran Home Chapel in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Lutheran Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Lutheran Home Cemetery. Lorraine was born on January 9, 1922 to Benjamin and Alvina (Langhoff) Deike in Mankato, Minnesota. She worked at the Mankato Rehab Center from 1971-1974. She lived in various places in Minnesota over the years including Cambridge for 9 years, Lake Owasso Children's Home for 2 years and Mankato for 19 years before moving to the Lutheran Home: Hope Residence in 1985. Lorraine enjoyed music, spending time with friends, dining out and having her nails done and had a great sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Viola Held. She is survived by a niece, Julie Kozberg of Hopkins, MN and many friends.
