Lorraine Johnson

Lorraine Helen Johnson, age 74 of Belle Plaine, Minnesota died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14,2016 at the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. She was born on November 27, 1942 in Jessenland Township, Sibley County to Wilfred and Marie (Griep) Terrio. She grew up in Blakeley and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1961. She married Craig Johnson, 50 years ago, on July 23, 1966 at Zion UCC in LeSueur, Minnesota. Lorraine was a homemaker and also worked for ADC. She enjoyed cooking, especially fried chicken, baking, visiting on the telephone and camping. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine for many years. Survivors include her husband, Craig and children, Curt (Cheryl) Johnson, Corey (Lynn) Johnson and LeAnn (Brian) Fahey all of Belle Plaine and Carl (Julie) Johnson of Shakopee. 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister. Wilma Jean (Merlin) Bartels of Belle Plaine and a brother-in-law, Lynn (Jeannie) Johnson of St. Peter, nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Rev. Mark Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation is 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
