Louise B Laabs

Louise B. Laabs, age 91, of Arlington died on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. She was born on February 2, 1920 in Dryden Township, Sibley County. She attended country school. She married Arthur A. Laabs on October 24, 1948 at St. John's parsonage at Mountville. She was a homemaker on the family farm. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and playing cards. She is survived by her son, Bernell Laabs of Arlington Daughter-in-law, LaVonne Laabs of Green Isle 4 Grandchildren, Valerie (Scott) Bandas and Michelle (Craig) Marti of Glencoe, Jolene (Steven) Larson and Kara (Noah) Jones of Coon Rapids.; 6 Great-grandchildren, Brother, Elmer (Elaine) Rose of Dassel, Sister, Arline Pieschke of Glencoe, Brother-in-law, Walter Alsleben of Winthrop She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, son, Jerry in 1995 and 2 sisters, Alma Frauendienst and Esther Alsleben. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 11 a.m., Interment will be in the St. Paul's Church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
