Louise Schauer

Louise Schauer, age 92 of rural Arlington passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18 ^th at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle Township. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17 ^th at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and will continue one hour prior to the service time Monday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Louise Ella Emma Schauer was born on December 27, 1929 in Hamburg to John and Elizabeth (Buck) Mueller. Louise was baptized on January 12, 1930 and confirmed on April 18, 1943, both at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. Her working career started early in life as was customary for the times. On September 27, 1946 she married Clarence C. Schauer in Chaska. Her first employment was working for her sister in Hamburg as a telephone operator. She later went on to work at the Arlington Nursing Home, the Canning Company and eventually Fingerhut. Louise loved gardening, sewing, embroidering, quilt making, being a part of hunting, and fishing. Her greatest love of all though was taking care of small children, especially her grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children; Bill Schauer, Bernice Otto, Alan (Susan) Schauer, 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Rosella Mueller and Alice Ondracheck. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Clarence, sons; baby boy Schauer and Milo Schauer, daughter-in-law; Shirley Schauer, grandson; Brad Schauer, and all her siblings.
