Lucille G. Torrey

Lucille G. Torrey, age 91, of LeSueur died on April 9, 2015, with family at her side, at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in LeSueur. She was born on April 30, 1923 in Henderson, MN to Paul and Mary (Jentz) Griesbach. Lucille graduated from LeSueur High School and worked in the LeSueur community as a telephone operator, clerk at Maxine's Dress Shop, nurses aid at the LeSueur Hospital and as a clerk at White Mart. She married Cleston Torrey on January 15, 1949 and they were later divorced. Survivors include her children, Jean (Jim) Conroy of LeSueur, James Torrey of Louisiana and Janel (David) Schwarz of Apple Valley; 3 grandchildren, Andrew Conroy, Amy Conroy and Nicholas Schwarz and 1 great granddaughter, Andi Jo Otting; brother, Marvin (Jeanne) Griesbach of St. Paul and a sister, Bernice Smith of Arlee, Montana. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 a.m at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
