Luther Kranz

Luther Frederick Kranz, age 68 of Henderson, passed away on Friday evening January 18, 2019 at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

The family has wishes not to have a visitation or formal funeral. He will be buried at Brown Cemetery in Henderson.

Luther was born on November 27, 1950 in New Ulm, MN to Roland and Emily (Trout) Kranz. On October 18, 1969 he married Laura Jean Bernadette Gendreau in Chaska. Luther held many jobs as an adult, ranging from farming chickens to meter reading for Minnesota Valley Electric Company.  He was a passionate Christian with an unwavering trust in God.  He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at home.

Luther is survived by his wife, Laura; children, Esther (Ryan) Sutter, Clint (Beth) Kranz, Seth (Treon) Kranz, Tamar Kranz, William Kranz, and Paul Kranz; six grandchildren; siblings, Arlene (Gene) Jacobson, Virginia (Bobby) Briard, Hans (Shirley) Kranz, and Cheyenne (Jerry) Bernstein; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Emily; brothers, Roger, Ernest, Byron, and Steven Kranz, and sister, Loraine Freyholtz.
