Lynn Richard Dobesh

Lynn Richard Dobesh, age 71 of Le Sueur, died on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter, MN.  Memorial service will be on Thursday, June 6, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation will be at the Kolden Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. and concluding at 7:00 p.m. with a Le Sueur Fire Dept. procession and tribute.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Lunch will follow the 11:00 a.m. service on Thursday at the church.  Rev. Jan Crissinger will officiate the services.

Lynn was born on February 25, 1953 to David and Lillian (Dahn) Dobesh in St. Peter, MN.  He attended Le Sueur schools and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1972.  He began work right out of high school with Green Giant in Le Sueur.  He married Karen Koepp on April 12, 1975 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN.  Lynn worked over 20 years at Green Giant in Le Sueur until they closed and finished his working career at Le Sueur Inc. after 10 years. Lynn enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and special times with his grandchildren especially at the cabin and visiting family in Arizona.   He was a member of the Le Sueur Fire Dept. for over 30 years and was quite active in the training of new firemen through South Central College in Mankato.

Lynn is survived by his wife Karen of 49 years.  Sons; Daniel (Sara) Dobesh of Lakeville, MN and Matthew Dobesh of Buckeye, AZ.  Grandchildren; Alexa, Lucas, Dylan and Kelysta Dobesh.  Siblings; Dale (Lola) Dobesh of Savage, MN, Linda (Benny) Kahle of Le Sueur, MN and Kim Dobesh of Vallejo, CA.

Mother in law: Mary Koepp, Brother and Sister in laws: David and Charlene Koepp, Sharon and Duane Wolters, Allen and Sally Koepp and Brent and Wendy Koepp.  Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother David.
