Mabel Haupt, age 85 of Arlington passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Mabel was born on February 6, 1927 in Jessenland Township, Sibley County to Harry & Catherine (Weckop) Morrisette. She grew up in the Blakeley & Jessenland Township area. She graduated from Henderson High School and went on to teach in country schools for a short time. She married Frank Haupt on June 22, 1948. The couple farmed outside of Arlington their whole married life until they moved to Oak Terrace Assisted Living in 2010. Mabel was a housewife most of her life raising her family. She also did seasonal work for Big Stone Canning for many years and later working at Hands, Inc. and later for Young America Corp. Mabel especially enjoyed her time with family and friends, playing cards and visiting. She is survived by her husband Frank; Children, James (Margaret) Haupt of Germany, Theresa Olson of Gaylord, MN, Tom Haupt of Arlington. Grandchildren; Stephanie (Scott) Krueger, Katie (Tim) Joehnck & Melinda Haupt & her fiance John Wolter & Nick Haupt. Great-Grandchildren; Madison, Montana, Mausten & Murdock Krueger. Daughter-in-Law, Linda Haupt; Brothers, Al Morrisette & Joe Morrisette; sister, Mary Alice Carlson & Monica Carlson. Brother-in-law, John Haupt and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ken Shaw; Sister, Elsie (Sis) Morrisette; Brother-in-Law, Rueben & Clifford Carlson.
