Mabel Dorothy Kotasek

Mabel D. Kotasek, age 95 of Le Sueur died, Saturday, August 18, at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Facility in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, August 22, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday afternoon 1 hour prior to the Mass from 3-4 p.m. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate the Mass. Mabel was born on March 14, 1917 to Thomas & Elizabeth (Boldt) Chambers in Madison Lake, MN. Following the death of her mother, Mabel helped care for her younger siblings. She married John Kotasek on March 2, 1946 at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. The couple lived on a farm near Le Sueur and she worked seasonally at Green Giant in Le Sueur and also worked on the John and Delores Nuesbaumer farm for many years. After the death of her husband John in 1990, she did lots of babysitting, which she enjoyed very much. She is survived by her siblings,Lillian Tiegs of Henderson, MN, Ruby (Cecil) Ernsting of Le Sueur, MN and Percy Chambers of Henderson, MN; many special friends and daycare kids and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Joe, Harry & Ernie and brothers & sisters-in-law.
