 
            Mahlon Maeder, age 73 of Arlington died Monday, July 23, 2012 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arlington Township. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Mr. Maeder was born on September 17, 1938 in Henderson to Lloyd and Adeline (Brenke) Maeder. He graduated from Arlington High School and earned a degree in electronics from DeVry University. He served in the United States Air Force between 1959 and 1962. Mahlon worked as an implement mechanic for Thomes Brothers Hardware as well as working for Big Stone Canning Company, Anderson Farms and other various jobs. Mahlon married Arline ZumHofe on April 16, 1966 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg. He enjoyed watching TV and the different sporting events. He was a past member of the Arlington Ambulance Service. Mahlon is survived by his wife; Arline of Arlington, daughter; Pamela Maeder of Norwood Young America, son; Mark (Misty) Maeder of Rocky Mount, Missouri and nieces and nephews. Mr. Maeder is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Lynnette Maeder, and brother; Donald.
