Marcella B. Dose

Marcella Bertha Dose, age 95 of Arlington died Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 12th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from Noon until service time. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Rauh will officiate the services.

Marcella was born on October 4, 1926 to Rueben and Elsie (Tietz) Wendlandt in Penn Township, McLeod County.  She was baptized, confirmed and on June 27, 1947 Marcella married Melvin J. Dose at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Penn Township, McLeod County.  Marcella received her education at District #16 Country School in Penn Township. The couple lived and farmed near Arlington for 50 years and retired to town in 1997.

She is survived by her children; Jeanne (Galen) Ribar, Leon (Renae) Dose, Harris (Linda) Dose, Sharon (Rick) Koepp, and Joyce Koepp all of Arlington. 15 Grandchildren; Michelle (Brent) Bjerkness, Joel (Nina) Ribar, David (Rachel) Ribar, Chad (Megan) Dose, Scott (Kristi) Dose, Craig (Dana) Dose, Michael (Kim) Dose, Brad (Regan) Dose, Lisa (Dave) Wendinger, Lori (Tim) Eischens, Angela (Josh) Paggen, Mitchell (Megan) Koepp, Justin (Kelsey) Koepp, Tyler Koepp and Stephanie (Bryan) Lamont and 34 Great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Rueben and Elsie, husband Melvin, son-in-law Bryan Koepp, 2 infant great-granddaughters; Madeline & Sophia Eischens, all her siblings and their spouses; Cevella (Lester) Lindeman, Delford (Elva) Wendlandt, LaDonna (Wayne) Grochow, parents-in-law; Walter and Viola Dose, sister-in-law and spouse; Norma (Darold) Neperman.
