Margaret E. Brown, age 94 of Le Sueur, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. Kenneth O'Hotto will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Friday. Interment will be at a later date. Margaret was born on August 11, 1920 to John and Anna (Krueger) Prentice in Fargo, ND. She graduated in 1938 from Lincolntown High School in Mahtomedi, MN. She married Forrest "Bud" Brown on August 11, 1951 in Wisconsin. She worked for Green Giant and Pillsbury from 1962 to 1984. After retiring she worked part time at the Le Sueur Foundry until 2004. She was active with St. Anne's Church, St. Anne's School and the Le Sueur Food Shelf. Margaret was a wonderful mom to her son, Jim (Patti) Brown of Edina and daughter, Nancy (Charlie) Davis of St. Louis Park. Beloved Grandma Tootsie to Kris Chanley of Savage, Julie Okland of Savage and Molly Davis of Plymouth and great-granddaughter, Cora Chanley. Also survived by her brother, Bruce (Lotte) Prentice of St. Paul and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Bud"; brothers, Bill and John; step-mother, Caroline. A special thanks to the staff at MVHC nursing home for their wonderful care and love.
