Margaret I. Erickson

Margaret I. Erickson, age 96 of Mankato, formerly of the St. Peter/ Le Sueur area died on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Brookdale Mankato Assisted Living facility. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m, Scandian Grove Lutheran Church, Norseland, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, burial in the church cemetery. Margaret was born on September 25, 1919 to Peter & Mary (Nelz) Kovich in Hibbing, MN and attended Waseca High School. She married Adler Erickson on June 24, 1944 in Otisco, MN. The couple settled on the family farm southwest of Le Sueur, MN where Margaret worked as a hairdresser from her home. Margaret did receive a Bachelor's Degree from Mankato State University later in her life on July 12, 1996 which she was very proud of. They were members of Scandian Grove Lutheran Church for many years. Margaret enjoyed antique shopping and playing the organ. She is survived by her sister; Mildred Johnson of Crystal, MN and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adler, 2008; siblings; Mike Kovich, Sam Baker, Pete Kovich, Nick Kovich, George Kovich and Mary Kovich.
