Margaret 'Maggie' Skelly

Margaret ‘Meg' Skelly, age 75 of LeSueur, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 1st at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur, beginning with a C.C.W. Rosary at 1:45 p.m. and ending with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday morning from 8-9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Margaret was born on October 1, 1936 to Clayton and Harriet (Barr) Roberts in Kasota, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from St. Peter High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Redwood Falls, Mankato and LeSueur, MN. She married John Skelly on February 1, 1958 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Henderson. She worked for Green Giant and Pillsbury for 14 years. She enjoyed camping and wintering in Mesa, AZ for many years. She is survived by her special friend, Roy Heitz of Waconia; children, Mark Skelly (Joan) of Henderson, Diane (Ronald) Bauleke of St. Anthony, Susan (Paul) Florin of Maple Grove, Paul (Melanie) Skelly of Prior Lake, Kevin (Beth) Skelly of LeSueur, Earl (Tami) Skelly of LeSueur, Kate (Mike) McKeehan of Green Bay, WI and Bridget (Scott) Langer of Woodbury; 14 grandchildren; brother, Joe (Sal) Roberts of Kasota and sister, Dawn Matsenbaugh of Gulf Port, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1999; granddaughter, Amanda Skelly; siblings, Gary Roberts, Clayton Roberts, Virginia Fetterley and Jacqueline Freeburg. Memorials are preferred to St. Anne's School.
