Margaret Mary Wagner

Margaret Mary Wagner, age 72 of Le Sueur, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025.  She courageously fought blood cancer for the past year. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10 A.M. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Rosary will begin at 8:45 A.M., followed by a visitation from 9-10 A.M. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Luncheon to follow the burial at St. Anne’s School.

Margaret was born on February 4, 1953 in Mankato, MN to George and Patricia (Simonette) Wagner. She grew up on the family farm and attended St. Anne’s grade school, she graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1971. She also attended Mankato Vocational School in 1972 where she was enrolled in a clerical program.

She held various jobs throughout her career, including; Green Giant Company from 1973 to 1982, The Pillsbury Company from 1982-1988, Crystal Foods Inc., Technical Services, Nordic-Track, ADC, and ALCO.

Margaret enjoyed garage sales, auctions, Pioneer Power shows, fishing, watching old movies, going to family gatherings and meeting friends.

Margaret is survived by her life partner, Gary Luepke of Arlington, MN; sister, Jeanne (George Depuydt) Davis of Le Sueur, MN; brother-in-law, Randy (Carlene) Karels of St. Thomas, MN; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George (2002) and Patricia (2005); sister, Kathleen Karels (1995); and brother, Baby Wagner (1949); as well as special fur-babies, Buddy, Buzzy, Tanner and Toto. She will be remembered for her picture taking and strong Catholic faith.
