Marie Savoye, age 100, of Le Sueur died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Services will be shared with her daughter, (Noel Forbrook who died Dec. 11, 2010), at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Zion U.C.C. in Le Sueur. Rev. Beth Benson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery. Marie was born on November 22, 1910 to Henry and Anna (Broege) Hollander in Blakeley, Minnesota. She attended the country school in Scott County. She was an avid scholar with a love of learning that would last all of her life. She married Jean Savoye on September 18, 1929. She began her career as an Avon Lady at the age of 50 and would continue this for the next 40 years. She also had started the Clothes Closet. Marie is survived by her children, Eugene "Dick" (Rennie) Savoye of Lancaster, PA, Marline (Robert) Heng of St. George, UT, Maurice (Barbara) Savoye of Crystal, MN, Jeanine (Leo) Meyer of Lawton, OK, Brenda (Steve) Lampman of St. Peter, MN, Barbara (William) Roberts of Burnsville, MN and Kevin (Janice) Savoye of Dawson, MN; sister, Anne Reddemann of Le Sueur; 29 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Jean in 1972; son, William Savoye; daughter, Noel Forbrook; grandson, Ronald Smith; 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
