Marion E Berens

Marion E. Berens, age 89 years of Belle Plaine, died on May 17, 2013 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Lutheran Home Chapel in Belle Plaine. Reverend Ed Fredrich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Lutheran Home Cemetery. Marion was born on June 7, 1923 in Woodward, Pennsylvania. She grew up on the family farm where they raised cows, chickens and pigs. One of her favorite chores was to help pick strawberries. She attended country schools and Woodward High School. Marion moved to California and after retirement she moved to Minnesota. She enjoyed playing bingo, embroidery work and playing baseball. She is survived by her children, Joyce, Jackie and Barry and siblings Paul, John and Lodie.
