Marion D. Ische

Marion D. Ische, age 88 of Glencoe passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at GlenFields in Glencoe. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First Ev. Lutheran Church  in  Glencoe with Rev. Dan Welch officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.

Marion Dorothy was born on September 10, 1931 in Hamburg to Otto and Ida (Kroells) Oelfke. Marion was baptized on September 20, 1931 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg and was confirmed there as well on March 25, 1945. On May 3, 1952 Marion married Harlan Ische. She was a 50 year employee of Security Bank & Trust (formerly Security State Bank) in Glencoe. Marion liked following politics, attending Bible Study, going to Bumps for coffee and going on outings with her friend Frances.

Marion is survived by her sons, Mark Ische (significant other, Maureen Lowden) and Tom (Nancy) Ische; granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Fox and Brianna Ische; brother, Gerald Oelfke; and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda (Will) Neumann and Dick Kroells.

She is preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, Albert & Clara Ische; husband, Harlan Ische; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ische; grandson, Bryon Ische; brothers, Walter and Hillard Oelfke; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Oelfke.
