Marjorie Slack

Marjorie R. Slack, age 93 of LeSueur died on Monday evening, July 25, 2011 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center Nursing Home, where she had resided for a short time. She was born on June 3, 1918 at Glenwood, Minnesota to Steve and Violet (Allen) Hargrove. Marjorie moved to LeSueur as a youth and graduated from LeSueur High School. She married Philip Slack on July 20, 1938 in LeSueur. She was a homemaker and also worked with her husband at the Coachlight Supper Club. Survivors include her sons, Terry Slack of LeSueur and Tom Slack of Burnsville and 2 daughters, Barb (James) Weber of Osage, Iowa and Laurie (Lee) Swenson of LeSueur as well as 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her coffee drinking buddies. She was preceded in death by her husband Phil in 1989 and daughter-in-law, Christine Slack in 2007 as well as brothers, Barney and Bob Hargrove in 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur with interment in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the service time of 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Kolden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
