Marlane Venske

Marlane Venske, age 71 of Arlington passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19th from St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington with Rev. Bruce Hanneman officiating. A time for relatives and friends to gather will be from Noon until service time Saturday at the church. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is assisting with arrangements. Marlane June was born on April 15, 1944 in Glencoe to Albert and Edna (Quast) Bentz. She married Richard Venske on July 28, 1984 in New Germany. Marlane worked in housekeeping and as a painter her entire life. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed taking care of her plants and cats. She became known as making the best potato salad ever. She is survived by her husband Richard Venske of Arlington, children Gary Voight of Arlington, Susan (Todd) Neumann of Watertown, Tamara (Chad) Ittel of Green Isle, grandchildren Tina Neumann (special friend Nick Schlechter), Todd Neumann, Jr., Mason and Kailee Ittel, siblings, Merlin (Judy) Bentz of Chaska, Shirley (Richard) Gehlen of Yuma, AZ, Sharon Holasek of Waconia, Dianna Lepel of Lester Prairie, Albert, Jr. (Brenda) Bentz of Lester Prairie and Linda (Ron) Knox of Shakopee, sisters-in-law Marlene Bentz of Chanhassen, Karen Bentz of Shakopee and Bonita Bentz of Lester Prairie, Venske and Voight extended families, many nieces and nephews. Marlane is preceded in death by her first husband Ronald Voight on April 1, 1979, her parents Albert & Edna, siblings Ted, Harlan, Marlene, Delmer and Ronnie.
