Marlene Bruch, age 84 of Arlington died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society. Memorial services are 12:00 noon on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, Green Isle Township. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time ALL at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Kolden Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements. Marlene was born on March 23, 1934 in Penn Township, McLeod County to Martin and Hulda (Alsleben) Polzin. She was baptized on April 8, 1934 by Rev. W.E. Diemer and later confirmed on April 25, 1948 by Rev. J.H. Kolberg both at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township. Marlene graduated from Glencoe High School on May 28, 1952. On May 17, 1957 she married Loren Bruch at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township by Rev. E.W.L. Lehne. Marlene and her husband farmed in Green Isle Township and she also had employment in her earlier years as a telephone operator and later worked at Telex Corporation in Glencoe. Marlene liked to sew and travel. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid and had also taught Sunday School for many years. Marlene is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Loren. She is survived by her children; Ronnie (Mary) Bruch of Glencoe, Timmy (Brenda) Bruch of Arlington and Tammy Bruch of Plymouth, grandchildren; Tim (Lacey) Schuette, Nathan (Vana) Bruch, Ashley (Bob) Segna, Joshua Bruch and Nicole (Spencer) Haggenmiller, great grandchildren; Olivia Schuette, Logan Bruch, Hannah Bruch, Maxwell Segna, Mikayla Segna and Aubrey Haggenmiller.
