Marlyn Lee Plantz

Marlyn Lee Plantz, age 73, of Belle Plaine died Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN. Memorial Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine, MN. with Rev. John Zeitler officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Marlyn was born on January 23, 1937 to Harry and Minnie (Miller) Plantz in Windom, MN. The family moved to the Belle Plaine area in 1944 where he attended Belle Plaine Schools. He married Marlene Mahoney in August of 1956. She passed away March 8, 1959. Marlyn married Judy Green on Dec. 19, 1964 in St. Paul, MN. He worked as a machinist spending most of his career at Continental Machines, Inc., where he retired. Marlyn & Judy enjoyed the 40 years they spent living along the river in Blakeley where they raised their family. Marlyn's greatest joys in life were his family, friends and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his wife Judy of Belle Plaine Children;Toni (Robert) Dunn of Troy, MO, Shelly (Art) Huber of Le Center, MN Bill (Linda) Plantz of St. Cloud, MN Kelly Zurn of Belle Plaine, MN Julie Nelson (Special Friend, Dave Hohenstein) of Belle Plaine, MN 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren Brother; Richard Plantz of Tennessee He is preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene; baby daughter, Deborah; parents; sister;Sylvia Morency.
