Marvin A. Brandt, age 82 of Le Sueur died at his home on Saturday morning, February 24, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 4-7 p.m. and also the morning of the Mass at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate the services. Marvin was born on August 9, 1930 to Art & Margaret (Mager) Brandt in Henderson, MN. He grew up and attended Henderson Schools. He served in the Unites States Army during the Korean War, serving in Alaska. He married Linda Rannow on September 15, 1962 in Le Sueur, MN. He worked many years as a Truck Driver for Le Sueur County. Marvin enjoyed playing with the grandkids, gardening, wood-working and was involved with the American Legion. Marvin is survived by his wife, Linda; children; Rick (Clarine) Andresen of Richardson, TX, John (Mary) Andresen of Le Sueur, MN, Jim (late Kathy) Andresen of St. Peter, MN, Doug Brandt & special friend Jeff of LaFayette, MN, Dave (Gail) Brandt of Le Sueur, MN, Danny (Sally) Brandt of Le Sueur, MN and Deb (Al) Schroer of Le Sueur, MN; Sister, Marlene (Carl) Walsten; 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & in-laws. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Art & Margaret; sister, Shirley Kahle and daughter-in-law, Kathy Andresen. The family of Marvin would like to extend a Special Thank You to Pam Miller for her wonderful care she had given him as his Hospice Nurse during his final days.
