Marvin Ziesmer, age 62 of rural Arlington passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at his home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2nd at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Isle. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Marvin Richard Ziesmer was born on April 18, 1954 in Arlington to Charles and Alice (Mueller) Ziesmer. He was a 1972 graduate of Arlington - Green Isle High School. On April 24, 1976 he married Dianne Jelen at St. Leo Catholic Church in St. Leo. In 1980 Marvin and Dianne moved back to Arlington to run the Ziesmer family farm. He also worked for Seneca Foods until his retirement in 2014. Marvin was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Isle and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching movies. He was especially enjoying retirement with family and friends. Marvin is survived by his wife Dianne Ziesmer of Arlington, son Chad Ziesmer (Andrea Harder) of New Ulm and children Alec & Madelyn, daughter Megan (Tim) Bisek of Le Sueur and children J.T. & Derek, brother Gordon (Geraldine) Ziesmer of Arkansas and many nieces & nephews. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Ziesmer.
