Mary Shannon Frost

Mary Shannon Frost, age 93, of LeSueur died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in LeSueur. She was born on July 24, 1921 to Cyril and Florence (Lang) Frank. She was a life-long resident of LeSueur. Shannon married Leon Frost on November 27, 1943. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2014. She had worked for the Green Giant Company as a secretary to the advertising manager. She is survived by 5 children, Mark (JoAnn), Dick (Kathy), Steve (Mary), Mary Ellen (Ed) Loewe and Chris (Dean) Dressel; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; Sister, Ann Colleen Schwob & sister-in-law, Marion Frank. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon; infant son; brother, George Frank; brother-in-law, Clair Schwob. Mary Shannon was active at St. Anne's Church in the choir, CCD teacher, Bible Study facilitator, CCW unit chairman, CCW president and sanctuary care for 17 years. She also was a teacher's aide at St. Anne's School and Park Elementary as well as active as a leader in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She also was active in the Minnesota Valley Hospital Auxiliary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in LeSueur with a 4 p.m. CCW Rosary. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to St. Anne's Church Endowment, Patron's of St. Anne's School Endowment, MN Valley Health Center Endowment and Masses.
