Mary Margaret Pioske

Mary Margaret Pioske, age 86 of LeSueur died on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Zion United Church of Christ in LeSueur. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Zion United Church of Christ. Kolden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mary was born February 8, 1932 to Clarence and Margaret (Lockerby) Lind. She graduated from Winthrop High School and married Donald Pioske on June 13, 1953 in Winthrop, MN. They lived on a farm in Rush River for all of their married life where they raised their family. There were married for 32 years until Donald's death in 1985. Mary moved to LeSueur and began employment at Minnesota Valley Hospital where she remained for many years until she retired at the age of 80. After retirement she remained an active member of Zion United Church of Christ where she participated in Church Circle, Bible Study, Friendly Visitors and served at funerals and church events willingly and freely. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jim and John, husband Donald, grandson Bobby Kellermeier, several brother and sister in laws, and loving friends. She is survived by children Gail (Jim) Fitzpatrick, LeSueur; Steve (Carrie) Pioske, LeSueur; Kerry (Mark Crislip) Pioske Portland, Or.; Lynn (Rod) Tollefson, Gaylord; Janice (Bob) Kellermeier, Edina; Gregg (Elaine) Pioske, Blaine; Lori (Matt) Lilly, Edina; Gary (Kerry) Pioske; Mound; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous brothers in law and sisters in law. She will be remembered for her service to God and community, her humor, her love of coffee and fellowship, being a Minnesota Twins fan and her Special K Bars. Well done, good and faithful servant.
