Mary (Erickson) Uecker

Mary Uecker, 61 of Gaylord, formerly of Le Sueur died at her home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 20, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky and Fr. Keith Salisbury will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. beginning with a C.C.W. Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will continue the morning of the Mass at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur. Mary was born on March 12, 1951 to Donald and Bernice (Logan) Zeiher in St. Peter. She graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1969. She married Thomas Erickson on July 1, 1974 in Custer, South Dakota. He passed away on October 13, 1990. She married Jerry Uecker on June 5, 1999 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Gaylord. She worked as a secretary at Green Giant and Pillsbury for 33 years. For the last seven years she has worked as a Nurse's Aide at Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Gaylord. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to Jackpot Casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her mother, Bernice and family. Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry of Gaylord; mother, Bernice Zeiher of Le Sueur; son, Jamie Erickson of Mankato; step-children, Geri (Dean) Schmidt of Carver and Alyssa (Andrew) Miller of Mankato; grandchildren, Nathan Frost of Le Sueur, Alysa Leith of Kasson, Nicholas Schmidt of Carver, Simon, Olivia, Salah and Elisha Miller of Mankato; siblings, Fran (Nancy) Zeiher of Janesville and Ann Denn-Born of Madison Lake; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald; first husband, Thomas Erickson; brother-in-law, Bruce Born; aunt and uncle, Phyllis and George Fores.
