Mary "Betty" Way

Mary Hall Way "Betty" age 96 of Le Sueur, died on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur. Betty was born on May 19, 1922 in Minneapolis to Roy W. & Mildred (Bardwell) Hall. After graduation from Minneapolis West High School, she attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She graduated with a B.A. degree in Nursing & Public Health. She married Charles Benton Way "Ben" on October 9, 1946 in Minneapolis. The couple moved to Le Sueur shortly after they were married where Ben was employed by Green Giant and Betty was a homemaker, mother and active in her community and church. Betty enjoyed her work with the Le Sueur Presbyterian Church, bridge club, arranging flowers from her garden, golf, book club, hospital auxiliary and helping with Meals on Wheels. Her favorite time was spent with family and friends on the back porch. She is survived by her children, Bardwell Way of Savannah, GA, Charles (Vicki) Way of Akron, OH, Susan Way of St. Paul, Libby Hall of San Jose, CA and Billy (Amy) Way of Chaska; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and brother, Bill (Dee) Hall of Bloomington, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben in 2010; granddaughter, Stacey Way and daughter-in-law, Sandy Way. Graveside services for the family will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Thursday May 31st. Memorials to the Le Sueur Library preferred.
