Mary C. Weber

Mary C. Weber, age 94 of Le Sueur and formerly of St. Peter, died Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in Le Sueur. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23rd at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Fr. George Grafsky will officate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and will continue on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter following the luncheon at St. Anne's School. Mary was born on November 17, 1919 to John and Teresa (Holland) Melvin in Plainview, MN. She graduated from Plainview High School. She attended and graduated from beauty school in St. Paul. She married Edward J. Weber on May 18, 1946 in St. Paul and then moved to St. Peter where she was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of Weber Refrigeration. She and Ed helped and volunteered in establishing the St. Peter Food Coop. She moved to Le Sueur in 1998. Mary enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, dancing, visiting with friends and life. Mary was a member of the Catholic Daughters and C.C.W. Mary is survived by her children, Jim Weber of St. Peter, Richard (Colleen) Weber of Wayzata, Mary (Terry) Menk of St. Peter, Kathleen (Kent) Thune of Le Sueur and Tom (Brenda) Weber of Burnsville; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward in 1987; children, John and Patrick Weber; daughter-in-law, Arleen Weber and grandsons, Jeffrey and Eric Menk.
