Maxine D. Schwarz

Maxine D. Schwarz, Age 94 of LeSueur entered Eternal Glory Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Mankato, MN. Services will be Thursday February 18, 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 229 South Sixth Street, LeSueur, MN. Visitation will be at Kolden Funeral Home on Wednesday February 17, from 4-7pm, and one hour prior to the funeral at church. Maxine was born June 26, 1921 in St. Peter, MN to Henry and Ida (Bohlen) Papke. She was raised in Cleveland, MN and after high school worked as a one-room school teacher and at Minnesota Mining (3M) and at the Hardware Store in LeSueur. She married Vernon Schwarz on October 12, 1950 at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in St. Peter, MN and they farmed in Sharon Township, LeSueur. Her deep faith and love of her family were her treasures. Left to cherish her memory are children Lynn (Susan) Schwarz and Karen (Rev. Jeffrey) Weber; grandchildren Joel (Christina Chang) Schwarz, Mary (Bradley) Dulas, Leslie (Carter) Peck, Jessica (Andrew) Jerz, Jonathan Weber and Benjamin (Debbie) Weber; great-grand children Corinne & Althea Dulas and Airiana, Kylie, Emmy & Lilie Jerz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by Vernon, beloved husband of 52 years, and Sisters, Esther, Alma (Walter Heldberg), Laura (Arthur Hanke), and Lillie (Otto Hanke).
