Melissa Charlotte Davidson

Melissa C. Davidson, age 46 of rural LeSueur, died on November 22, 2025 at Ridgeview Hospital in Le Sueur. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. In the time she was here, it was far to short…she touched countless lives with her warmth, strength and generous spirit. Those who knew Melissa will remember her for her kindness, resilience and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Melissa Charlotte Davidson was born in Ada, Minnesota on July 20, 1979 to Gary and Claudia (Hall) McCarthy. She was baptized and later confirmed at Waldorf Lutheran Church. She grew up in Waldorf, Minnesota and graduated from Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School in 1997. Melissa attended Rasmussen Business College and South Central College graduated with a nursing degree. She worked as Direcor of Nursing and House Services for The Waters of Savage Senior Living for over 7 years. She married Jeremy Davidson on February 1, 2019 at Cocoa Beach, Florida. The lived in Montgomery and moved to Le Sueur in 2019.They enjoyed cruises and vacationing in Mexico and Jamaica. She liked scuba diving, ice fishing, riding motorcycle and meeting new friends along the way.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Jeremy of Le Sueur; daughters, Alexys (Troy) Schneider of Le Sueur, Aliviya Boyd of Le Center and Gabrielle Davidson of Mankato; father, Gary McCarthy of Waldorf;

siblings, Quentin (Sarah) McCarthy of Minnesota Lake and Jessica (Keith) McCutchen of Mapleton; nephews, Konnor, Jayden and Kyle McCutchen and Drake McCarthy; niece, Malloree McCarthy; sisters-in-law, Jessica (Jason) McCoy of Ellsworth, WI and Jennifer Woldness of Le Center. Also, nephews on Jeremy’s side are Austin and Lucas McCoy and Ethan and Colten Woldness

She is preceded in death by her mother, Claudia McCarthy (2019); cousin, Rebecca McCarthy Redfield; and grandparents, Charlotte and Preston (Pick) Winch, and John & Janet Hall.
