Melvin J. Riebel, age 80 of rural Le Sueur died at his home on Monday morning. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 21, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Friday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and Saturday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 - 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in St. Henry Catholic Church Cemetery. Melvin was born on November 22, 1931 to Peter and Marie (Macho) Riebel in Sharon Township. He married Marilynn Meyer on October 1, 1957. He was a dairy farmer and crop farmer. And a National square dance Caller. He enjoyed Polka dancing and teaching with his wife. Growing plants which blossomed into Marimel greenhouse. Faith-Family-Friends. Melvin is survived by his children, Mike (MaryAnn) of Mankato, Mary (Jim) of Le Sueur, Marty (Vicki) of Le Sueur and Milton (Jenny) of Mankato; daughter-in-law, Marcy Riebel; grandchildren, Ryan and Andrea, Gail, Barb, Glen, William, Peter, Paul and Mary, Cody, Jason, Eric, Cassie and Courtney, Emma, Madeline and Isabella and Quinton and Connor; great-granddaughter, Abrie; brothers, Robert and Loren Riebel and sister, Patty Lehner. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilynn; sons, Mark, Mitchell and Matthew Riebel; and sister, Dorothy Rapp.
