Michael "Mike" Harder

Michael "Mike" Dean Harder, age 57 of LeSueur, Minnesota died on January 31, 2017, surrounded by his family, at his home after a 5-year battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was born on May 6, 1959 in Arlington, Minnesota to Eldred and MaryAnn (Fries) Harder. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township. Mike graduated from LeSueur High School in 1978 and also from Hutchinson Vocational School. He married Nancy Rein at Trinity Lutheran Church on June 8, 1985. He had been employed with LSI for 35 years. Mike enjoyed canoeing, camping, fixing cars, Jeeping, snowmobiling, antiquing, restoring classic cars, refurbishing furniture and turning junk into treasure. He loved going to Pioneer Power every year, spending time with family, and was especially proud to be a new grandpa to grandson, Jameson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy. Daughters, Rachel (James) Danks of Mankato and Lisa (Blake) Sejrup of LeSueur and grandson, Jameson Danks; Parents, Eldred and MaryAnn Harder of LeSueur and brother, Randy (special friend, Kim Patten) of Harrodsburg, KY; Niece, Brooke (Fiancé, Cullan Franzen) Harder of Nicollet and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by aunts, uncles, mother-in-law and father-in-law and the family cat, Willy. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in LeSueur. Rev. Carl Bruihler, will officiate. Interment, in the spring, will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gaylord. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at First Lutheran Church in LeSueur and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
