Mitchell Jerome Savage

Mitchell J. Savage, age 51, died suddenly near his home in Tyrone Township, Le Sueur County on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Memorial Mass will be on Friday, July 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Le Sueur with Fr. George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Thursday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until about 10:15 a.m. Mitch was born on May 19, 1959 in St. Peter, Minnesota to Deward "Sockie" & Violet (Schleif) Savage. He attended St. Anne's Catholic Schools and Graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1977. He later graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Business. He was employed as a Manager at Open Systems in Shakopee, MN. He was an avid Horseman and a member The Le Sueur County Mounted Posse, Friends of Rush River Park and Los Caballeros del Norte, (Gentlemen of the North). He is survived by his parents, Deward "Sockie" & Vi Savage Brothers, Brian Savage of Eden Prairie and Patrick Savage of San Jose, CA. Many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He will be missed by many friends and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his infant sister. Memorials preferred.
