Morgan Megan Haugen

Morgan "Mora" Megan Haugen, age 32, of Belle Plaine, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2026, at her home in Belle Plaine. Funeral services for Morgan will be on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Northern Light Church of Christ in Brooklyn Park. Visitation will start two hours prior at the church with a luncheon following. Please direct all floral arrangements to the church.

Mora was born on February 28, 2026, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale to Jeff and Vicki (Jacobson) Haugen. She lived in the Twin Cities metro area before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the next 8 years. She then moved to Belle Plaine to be closer to her family. After high school, her love of animals brought her to becoming a registered vet tech. She and her mother started their own business, Pawz and Clawz, providing pet care and sitting services for over 7 years. Each of those dogs were treated like her own and became a part of her family.

Her love of animals ran deep in her home life as well. She had a 12-year-old bird named Calypso, though most knew them as Saucy, and her German Shepherd, Duke, who always stayed by her. She loved makeup and was passionate about her artistry with it – making sure that everything was just right. Above all, she was Auntie to her four nieces and nephews who she loved so dearly.

Mora is survived by her parents, Jeff and Vicki Haugen; brother, Ryan (Ashley) Haugen; niece and nephews, Chloe, Aiyden, Kayson, and Zander; special friend, Chris Ritala; grandparents, Lois Haugen, and Ken and Sharon Kooiker; aunt, Cynthia Townsend and family; pets, Calypso and Duke; and many other friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Lowell Haugen.
