Muriel Fern Christopherson

Muriel Fern Christopherson, age 88 of Belle Plaine died on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Kingsway Retirement Living. Funeral Service will be at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Lutheran Home Chapel in Belle Plaine, Rev. Ed Frederich will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Muriel was born on October 29, 1923 to Thomas and Ina (Chase) Hunter in Lime Springs, Iowa. She graduated from Austin High School. On February 26, 1944, she married Ewayne "Chris" Christopherson in the United Brethren Church in Austin, MN. She worked for Rosemount Engineering Company as a solderer. They moved to rural Belle Plaine in 1980. Muriel enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening, crafting and above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ewayne; sons, Norman and Roger; daughter Anne Marie; brother Lorraine Hunter and sister Vivian Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Terry of Burnsville, David (Ute) of Farmington, Bennie (Carolyn) of Belle Plaine, and Kevin (LeeAnn) Christopherson of Savage; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; many relatives and friends.
