Myron Latzke

Myron Latzke, age 83 of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur.  Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 25, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate.  Visitation will be from 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Monday morning.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.

Myron was born November 22, 1937 on the family farm in Belle Plaine to Gust and Alvina Latzke. Myron married Sharon Thies of Waconia on November 18, 1961.  He farmed his entire life on the same farm he grew up on.  On that farm they raised 4 boys. Myron had a successful registered holstein dairy farm with a number of cattle shown at the Scott County and State Fairs.  Myron and Sharon enjoyed country music, with a number of vacations to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee as well as Branson, Missouri. Later in life they briefly lived in Fairmont, MN also.

Survivors are Sister Marilyn Laabs of LeSueur, Sons: Dave (Ann) Latzke, Steve (Lori) Latzke, Jeff (Robyn) Latzke. Grandchildren: Molly (David), Travis (Anne), Trevor (Emma), Amber, and Breanna. Step-grandchildren: Doug, Evan, Marykay, and Paul. Great-grandchildren: Samuel, Elora, Caleb, and Mya.

He is preceded in death by first wife Sharon, second wife Carlene, Son John Latzke, and sister Beverly Koschney.
