Myron Arnold Stier

Myron A. Stier, age 76 of Belle Plaine died on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, MN. Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 9:00 am-11:00 am at church on Thursday. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Myron was born on May, 19, 1935 to Arnold and Hilda (Laabs) Stier in New Prague, MN. He grew up in Belle Plaine and graduated from Belle Plaine High School. Myron married Delores Bussmann on May 28, 1957 at Zion Lutheran Church in Cologne, Minnesota. After they were married, Myron hauled milk for 20 years. He also worked for the Alumicraft Boat Company in St. Peter and later drove truck for the Belle Plaine Co-op until retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law, Carl Ingebrigston. He was a member of the Belle Plaine Fire Department for 31 years and a member of the Belle Plaine American Legion. He enjoyed feeding the birds, building kit cars, fishing, camping and loved his grandchildren. Myron is survived by his wife: Delores of Belle Plaine Children: Allen Stier of Belle Plaine, Ronald (Kim) Stier of Belle Plaine, Karen Richards of Delano and Robert Stier of Belle Plaine; Grandchildren: Cassie (Joe) Kube , Crystal Stier, Corbin Richards and Ryan Stier; Great-Grandson: Austin Kube; Sister: Mabel Ingebrigston and Brother: Manley (Beverley) Stier.
