Naomi Esther Hiles

Naomi Hiles, age 89 of Belle Plaine passed away on April 27, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, May 1, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Thursday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service on Friday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Naomi was born in Minneapolis on July 26, 1925 to Reginald & Ruth (Hance) Taylor. She married Marvin Hiles on October 8, 1942 in Pine River. After marriage the couple lived in various places throughout Minnesota and South Dakota. Naomi was a past member of the Grange, Belle Plaine Senior Citizens, Prairie Downs Charioteers, a former 4-H leader and did considerable volunteering. Naomi is preceded in death by her husband Marvin, parents, parents-in-law, son Larry, sons-in-law: Larry Blades, Jerry Levanduski, Andy May, granddaughter Dawn Worm Adkins, 3 great grandchildren in infancy, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her children: Lucille (Raymond) Krueger of Hutchinson, Joyce May of Belle Plaine, Esther Levanduski of Rogers, Lawrence (Karen) Hiles of Branson, MO, Anita (David) Worm of Jordan and Lowell (Laurie) Hiles of Belle Plaine; 30 Grandchildren, 60 Great Grandchildren, 11 Great Great Grandchilden; Brother: Daniel (Peggy) Taylor of Tennesee, Sister: Lois (LeRoy) Voelker of Minneapolis and Many nieces, nephews and friends.
