 
            Norbert J. Kaufmann, age 82 of Norwood Young America, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Green Isle. Fr. Keith Salisbury will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington beginning with a 4:00 p.m. K of C Rosary and concluding with an 8:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Wednesday in Minneapolis at 10:45 a.m. Norbert was born on January 26, 1930 to Albert and Catherine (Dold) Kaufmann in Howard South Dakota. He was a Korean War Veteran. He married Darlain Harms in 1956 in Norwood Young America. He was a member and involved with the American Legion Post 408 of Green Isle, Knights of Columbus and the VFW in Belle Plaine. He enjoyed fishing, flying airplanes and traveling to Branson, Missouri. Norbert is survived by his wife, Darlain; siblings,Loraine (Jerry) Roskowiak of St. Paul, Romane Kaufmann of Anoka, Richard (Marianne) Kaufmann of Lake City, Joyce (Dick) Peabody of Rapid City, South Dakota, Rita (Jim) Eigen of Edina, Marilyn Doran of Richfield, Gary (Sherri) Kaufmann of Gaylord, Jim (Judy) Kaufmann of Carver, Dennis (Sandy) Kaufmann of Rush City, and Suanne Kaufmann of Urbana, IL; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Kaufmann of Minneapolis, Doann and Dennis Hromadka of Medford and Duane and Kathy Harms of Norwood Young America. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dolores Hall, Sister Carol Kaufmann and Marvin Kaufmann; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Steven Doran, Buel Hall, Judy Kaufmann, Darwin Harms and Deverne Harms; and mother and father-in-law, Elwin and Elsie Harms.
