Norma M May

Norma May, 96, of LeSueur died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Comfort First. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, St. Anne's Church, LeSueur. Visitation, starting with a 4 p.m. CCW Rosary, will continue until 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Kolden Funeral Home, LeSueur and Saturday morning until 10:40 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in LeSueur. koldenfuneralhome.com Norma Marie May was born on October 10, 1920, in Derrynane Township, LeSueur County, to Thomas and Elizabeth (Sautter) Deutsch. She graduated from McKinley High School in LeCenter, MN. Norma married John J. May on November 27, 1941, at St. Thomas. They lived in and around LeSueur all their married lives. She was a homemaker and also worked seasonally for the Green Giant Company and later in the laundry and housekeeping at the Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, canning and reading as well as activities at her residence. She is survived by her children, Juanita (Richard) Dohmeier of Clarks Grove, Sandy (Tom) Jelinek of Montgomery John T. (Martha) May of LeSueur, Pam (Curt) Schwartz of LeSueur and Rita (Steve) Picha of Montgomery; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Sr. Shirley Deutsch of Stillwater; sister-in-law, Catherine May of Le Sueur and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, daughter, Linda May, in 1999 and siblings, Margaret Osborne, Dallas May, Velma Totasky, Ann Mae Fischer, Francis Deutsch, Melvin Deutsch, Joe Deutsch and Teddy Deutsch.
