Norma Stuewe, age 93 of Belle Plaine, passed away on July 7, 2016 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in Jordan. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Tim Redfield will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. A luncheon will take place at the Belle Plaine Vet's Club. Norma Martha Stuewe was born in Mayer, Minnesota on April 10, 1923 to Albert and Laura (Lobitz) Hill. She married Harold Stuewe on February 25, 1940 at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township. They farmed in the Norwood area and were co-owners of the Riverside Ballroom in Carver. They lived in Brainerd for a time where they managed The Flame Supper Club before settling in Belle Plaine. Norma worked as a school cook for many years in Belle Plaine where she became close friends with other cooking staff and students. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved gardening and gathering her family for holidays. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, daughter Kay, son Terry (Barbara), siblings Howard (Corda) Hill, Ralph Hill, Kenneth (Vonnie) Hill and Lucille (Leon) Wichterman. Norma is survived by her children, Karen (Warren) Kamps of Cambridge, John (Mary) Stuewe of Chaska, Lee (Connie) Stuewe of Belle Plaine, Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren, Special Friend, Frances "Red" Weldon, Sister in law, Marian Stuewe of Cologne, Many Nieces and Nephews.
