Ora J. Boelter

Ora J. "Ore" Boelter, age 85 of Henderson, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Central Health Care Center in Le Center. Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Henderson. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19 in Brown Cemetery with Military Rites.Ora was born on July 25, 1928 to Ben and Ann (Kahle) Boelter in Henderson. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Mary Brain in Minneapolis on April 21, 1950. He worked as a Machinist at various locations throughout his life. He enjoyed working with leather and was an avid gun collector. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 74 in Henderson.Ora is survived by his children, Ann (Steve) Zeiher of Le Sueur, Bob Boelter of Mankato, Darrell (Lorinda) Boelter of Alexandria, MN and Ken (Lisa) Boelter of Coon Rapids, MN; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents; dear wife, Mary; brothers, Everett and Loren, sisters, Dorothy Griep and June Weihe and infant son.
