Ora Moskop, age 101 of Arlington, died September 26, 2010 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society Home. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m.Wednesday, September 29th at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington with a visitation two hours prior to the service. Ora Mae Moskop was born in Dryden Township of Sibley County on the family farm of her parents August and Caroline (Bandelin) Wiemann on May 25, 1909. Ora married Fred J. Moskop in Arlington where they lived, worked, worshiped and raised three children; Lois, Gene and Richard. Homemaking was her primary job for most of her life but she did work at Burke's Café, Big Stone Canning Company and the Arlington Bakery. She was active in the Ladies Aid of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Peace Lutheran Church and a 68-year member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Ora was preceded in death by her parents; August and Caroline Wiemann, brothers; Benjamin Franklin, Louis, George, Guard and sisters; Estelle Heinecke, Florence Wobschall, Lizzie Rabe, Carrie Goebel, Bernice Miller, husband; Fred, daughter; Lois Parker, daughters-in-law; Kay (Moore) Moskop, Kathleen (Kreger) Moskop and son-in-law; Frank Parker. She is survived by sons; Gene (Marlene) of Arlington and Richard (Ruby) of White Bear Lake and grandchildren; Mary (Pat) Brazil, Cindy (Bill) Weldon, Gina (Terry) Murphy, Peter Moskop and six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
