Patricia Ann Glisczinski, age 84 of Belle Plaine passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13th at Our Lady of the Prairie Church in Belle Plaine with interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12th at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Patricia was born on December 18, 1928 in Platte, S.D., the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy (Jaeger) Ryan. Pat moved to St. Peter at a young age and attended John Ireland School in St. Peter. She graduated from Cleveland High School. She attended the College of St. Catherine, St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. While living in St. Paul, she worked as a surgical nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital. On February 7, 1953 she married Michael Glisczinski at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Peter. The couple was engaged in farming in LeSueur County until 1964 when they settled on their farm in rural Belle Plaine. Pat worked as a nurse at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague until her retirement. She loved nature including birds, fishing with her husband, flower gardening, sewing, quilting, and playing cards with her friends. Patricia is survived by her husband, Michael Glisczinski of Belle Plaine; children: Greg (Lisa Webb) Glisczinski of Neillsville, WI., Anita Glisczinski of Belle Plaine, Peter (Connie Harsh) Glisczinski of Belle Plaine, Jim Glisczinski of Belle Plaine, and John Glisczinski of LeCenter, 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Irene Weis of Rochester, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Monica; brothers, Donald Ryan, and Delbert Thomas Ryan. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of the Prairie Capital Campaign.
