Patricia Ann (Heine) Thomas

Patricia “Patty” Ann Thomas, age 68 of Belle Plaine passed away on October 3, 2025, at home with her family. Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.

Patty was born on August 14, 1957, to James and Phyllis (Gustafson) Heine in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School in 1975. Patty married Kevin Thomas on July 2, 1977, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. They enjoyed camping, being part of their bowling league, and trips to Las Vegas.

She worked various jobs over the years including St. Lucas Health Care Community, Faribo Print shop, managing at Walmart and Sam’s Club, and most recently for Taher Food Service at the Belle Plaine Schools. Patty loved to read, play cards, and go to the casino. Her family brought her great joy.  She loved spending time with her grandsons, Tannar and Trayton and playing a good game of cribbage with her daughter, Natalie. She will be missed by her family and those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Phyllis; husband, Kevin in 2022; and brother James Heine.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Natalie (Shadd) Gutzke of Belle Plaine; grandsons, Tannar and Trayton Gutzke; siblings Deborah (James) Roell of Alexandria, Sandra Daniels of Annandale, Joyce (Todd) Trump of Faribault; extended family, the Kaune’s; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
