Patrick Robert Savage, age 81 of Belle Plaine, passed away on October 1, 2017 at Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 5th at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Roger Hessian will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. on Wednesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Thursday morning. Interment with Military Honors will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Patrick was born in Faxon Township in May 10, 1936 to James and Marion (Fitzgerald) Savage. On August 9, 1958 he married Rita Glisczinski at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lexington. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked at Anchor Glass in Shakopee for 33 years, retiring in 1998. Patrick enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son William, sister & brother-in-law Helen & Jerry Buesgens, and brother James Savage. He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Rita, Sons, Ronald (Jeannie), Kevin (Judy), Anthony (special friend, Tammy Drill), Robert (Jodi), Daughters, Diane (Larry) Borgardt & Jennifer (Thomas) Fahey. 15 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, Many Nieces & Nephews.
