Phyllis Krueger

Phyllis Ann Krueger, age 76 of Waseca, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca. Memorial Service will be at 11a.m. on Friday, May 30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Le Center. Rev. David Aaker will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Friday morning. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Le Center. Phyllis was born in Lexington Township, Le Sueur County on January 16, 1938 to Willmar and Carmen (Fitzke) Boettcher. She attended District 19 country school and graduated from Le Center High School. On June 4, 1957 she married Edward Krueger at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Le Center. They farmed near Belle Plaine for 43 years and Phyllis also worked as a custodian at the Belle Plaine Elementary School. Phyllis enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and playing 500 rummy with her aunt, La Verna Picka. She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ed, Son, Mark Krueger of Virginia, MN, Grandson, Dylan Krueger, Sisters, Joan (Le Roy) May of Le Sueur, Carol (Cap) Peterson of Waseca, Brother, Curtis (Genise) Boettcher of Waterville, Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
